Jingle Bell Jog

Sunday 12th December saw the second annual "Jingle Bell Jog" hit the streets of St Albans. A few hundred people dressed in Santa suits ran the 5km course to raise money for the local charity Grove House Hospice, which provides care to those suffering from cancer and other life threatening illnesses.

The event was run in beautiful winter sunshine which gave some lovely photographic light. I like the next two photos for the spotlit effect on the runners as they briefly emerge from the shadows. A bit of fill flash helped out as well.

As a special treat for celebrity fans, I'm including a picture of the race starters. Currently appearing in the local pantomime, here we have Larry Lamb (Eastenders, Gavin & Stacey) and Katy Ashworth (BBC CBeebies) hooting their air horns.
